By popular demand, Bluesfest Touring is presenting a final show for Buddy Guy here at the State Theatre after selling out two shows already. This show marks Buddy’s final performance in Australia ever, on his appropriately named, ‘Damn Right Farewell’ tour.

At age 85, Buddy Guy has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, has influenced rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and just about every guitar player who has played the Blues, Blues Rock, and Hard Rock over the past 70 years.

Buddy Guy has received 8 GRAMMY® Awards and excitingly has just been nominated for the 2023 Awards for Best Traditional Blues Album.

He has received 38 Blues Music Awards – the most any artist has ever achieved and Rolling Stone Magazine has ranked him #23 in its “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

On his final Australian show at the State Theatre, Sydney, Buddy will be supported by long-time friend Tom Hambridge, an American rock, country, and blues, producer, songwriter, musician and vocalist. Hambridge is the recipient of two GRAMMY® Awards, an ASCAP award, seven GRAMMY® nominations, and seven Boston Music Awards.
