Butternut Sweetheart are a Naarm/Melbourne based band inspired by the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Elliot Smith, and Sault. The three piece (Luke Moseley, Jazz Johnston, Lawrence Folvig) craft a world of modern indie cinematic music, peppered with classic pop hooks and driving beats.

2019 saw Butternut Sweetheart’s debut EP release, ’Concrete Solid Lung’. Lead single ‘Bury Me’ garnered hype from key Australian tastemakers and radio support from Triple J, Double J and Triple RRR, leading to a showcase appearance at BigSound 2020.

After touring with Ball Park Music, Gabriella Cohen, and Elana Stone, Butternut Sweetheart are playing headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne in April 2023 to celebrate their upcoming single release, ‘Endless Dirt Days’.
