CLUB 4A x Eastern Margins

past event

Description

Step beyond the everyday with a brilliant evening of cutting-edge music, performance, and visuals at CLUB 4A x EASTERN MARGINS, fusing music and art to create an event especially for Vivid Sydney, presented by the 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.

The night will include an electric genre-mash of artists from the Asian diaspora including Melbourne hyper metal artist Daine, Chinese Australian guzheng composer Mindy Meng Wang, Chinese Australian DJ and creative Jex Wang, along with Sydney’s electro duo 700 Feel and RnB artist Dylan Atlantis. Plus, work from visual artists Antone Pong and Passive Kneeling.

Since 2018, CLUB 4A has been transforming the way celebrated artists from Asia and the subcontinent are perceived by moving their work from conventional galleries into alternative venues, giving it new meaning and resonance.

Partnering with Eastern Margins, a collective that amplifies alternative Asian culture through sound and storytelling across East and South-East Asia, Europe, and the world, this event will foster cross-cultural dialogue and showcase the artistic talents of the Asian diaspora.

Founded in 1996, the 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art has been a beacon for contemporary Asian art in Australia, promoting cultural exchange and highlighting the significant contributions of Asian artists on both a local and global scale.

This night of revelry, unique narratives, and creative expression invites you to tap into the pulse of contemporary Asian artistic excellence like never before.

Supported by Machine Hall Precinct and City of Sydney.
