Your evening’s host and curator, Dan Tuffy, was a founding member of the ARIA award-winning 90’s cult/folk group Wild Pumpkins at Midnight. His intimate solo work of recent years has earnt him critical acclaim both here and abroad. Dan now lives and works in Europe so his sporadic returns to the Australian scene are unique events for lovers of powerful, authentic songwriting. Also appearing is Sydney’s own livewire Alice Terry , a comedienne and gifted soul & jazz singer. Alice has a reputation for raising the rafters of any show she plays. Providing contrast tonight is the fabulous Teresa Duffy-Richards. With echoes of Emmy Lou-Harris and Gillian Welch in her style, ABC Country Radio recently described Teresa as “one of the most exciting new voices in alt-country this country has heard in a long time”.
