Matt The Rumble & The ‘Tremolomen are named after the unmistakable tremolo effect from the
50’s. They play a mix of Blues, Soul-Jazz, Instrumentals & Wild Guitar, delivered with blistering
vintage tone & entertaining showmanship.

The Tremolomen play an eclectic feel-good repertoire including tunes by Kenny Burrell, Freddie King, Johnny Guitar Watson, Santo & Johnny, Jimmy Smith, the Shadows, Jimmy Reed, Dick
Dale, Booker T & the MGs & a healthy dash of original classics.

Matt has played long stints with many iconic Australian groups, including The Hippos, Continental Blues Party with Robert Susz, Unity Jazz Band, Ray Beadle, Clayton Doley & many of he best musos in town.

He has toured with & backed many international stars including Denny Freeman (Stevie Ray/Jimmie Vaughan, Bob Dylan), Johnnie Johnson (Chuck Berry), ‘Kid Bangham’ of ‘The Fabulous
Thunderbirds’, honking rhythm & blues Saxophonist Big Jay McNeely, & the recently departedArkansas country star ‘Sleepy LaBeef’, to name a few.

He earned the moniker ‘The Rumble’ after forming a gritty Link Wray instrumental surf band,named ‘The Rumble’!
