[PIAS] Australia, Planet Shhh, Select Music and Philter are absolutely stoked to announce Horror My Friend’s ‘repaper’ Album Launch Tour. Performing throughout February, 2023; HMF will play five exclusive headline shows at The Retreat in Melbourne (Fri, Feb 10), Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory (Fri, Feb 17), Perth’s Milk Bar (Sat, Feb 18), The Chippo in Sydney (Fri, Feb 24) and Wollongong’s La La La’s (Sat, Feb 25), alongside an appearance at Mountain Goat Valley Crawl in Brisbane (Sat, Feb 11).

Now three albums into their career, “repaper” finds Horror My in a reflective mood, underlined by the record’s palindromic title and its kaleidoscopic, hypnotic artwork. Attempting to reconcile an impossible ultimatum, it captures the three-piece negotiating the problematic terrain between the euphoric, weightless rush of your twenties and the heft of whatever remains. Caught between the promise of stability and the cost of continuing to pursue your passions, repaper ponders themes of mental health, feelings of pandemic-induced stasis and the societal pressure to submit to the hustle and consumerism of modern-day corporate culture.
