Hovering Spooks, Replicants and Paul Berwick play the Moshpit
Venue: Moshpit
642A King Street NewtownDescription
The Hovering Spooks, Replicants and Paul Berwick are kicking off Christmas early at the Moshpit on Friday 6th December.
The Hovering Spooks play psychedelic-post-punk-power-pop-art-rock, and these guys have been part of the Australian indie music scene as long as it’s existed. You probably know who The Spooks are, but as The Barman said in his recent I-94 Bar review of The Spooks “the bands that their members haven’t played in can be accommodated on the big end of a pin … if that’s not enough underground star power for you, go form your own supergroup.”
Bruce “Cub” Callaway – Guitar and Vocal
Paul Larsen – Drums and Vocals
Richard Burgman – Guitar and Vocals
Phil Hall – Bass and Vocals
The Replicants are also jam packed with local indie talent – members of City Lights, Hoolahan, Died Pretty, Sidewinder, Perry Keyes, Barbarellas and John Reed Club. They will be playing a bunch of familiar and forgotten classics from the hit parades of yore when guitars ruled the world.
Still want more? The legendary Paul Berwick will be dipping into his vast catalogue of original material.
Paul Berwick – 8:00-8:45pm
The Replicants – 9:00-9:45
The Hovering Spooks – 10:00-10:45
$15 entry, $12 for seniors (know your market!)
