DOORS 7:30PM // GUESTS: TBA

Aotearoa indie rock / jangle pop band Marlin’s Dreaming are finally returning to Australia for an April tour of Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast.

After getting a last minute ticket to the big stage at “Spaced Out” in the Gold Coast, the Kiwi band has added a couple of extra shows to the bill in Melbourne & Sydney.

It’s been four years since Marlin’s Dreaming last played live in Australia, for the sold-out 2019 tour of their EP, Talk On/Commic.

“It’s been a long time between drinks. Two new albums, two Prime Ministers, and several flats between us,” said the band’s frontman, Semisi Ma’ia’i.

“Playing with a number of amazing Australian acts like Kirin J Callinan & Dope lemon, we’ve always been attracted to the country’s music culture, so we’re very excited to play some more shows.”

In the last four years, Marlin’s Dreaming has released critically acclaimed albums Quotidian (2020) and Hasten (2021), which the band will play from, as well as their celebrated earlier material.

Together since 2017, Marlin’s Dreaming is by now well woven into the indie rock realm. Having recently collaborated with legendary Dunedin band, The Chills & played support for New York art punk rascals Parquet Courts.
