Description

Matt Charleston partners with The Kildares and Chloe Kay & The Crusade as he launches his first National Tour at The Factory Theatre, Marrickville. Matt is a Singer/Songwriter and Blues/Rock artist from Southern Sydney and has made a successful rise through the Sydney Music scene over the last few years, playing a style of Country and Blues music, fused together with folk and rock genres. Inspired by Marty McFly in ‘Back to The Future’, Matt picked up the guitar at the age of 15 and hasn’t put it down since. He has released a successful Country album, created over lock down and the pandemic, ‘Songs for the Weekend’, but then made a deep swing into the genre that made him fascinated and ‘at one’ with songwriting – The Blues. In the last year he has been working at Def Wolf Studios and The Viking Lounge in Sydney Suburbia, creating two singles and a highly successful Blues/Rock EP titled ‘Nexus’. Screaming elements of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy and John Mayer, Matt has continued to roll on through multiple music festival and sell-out shows throughout the City of Sydney. He is now ready to plant the seeds of his deep Blues/Rock and heart wrenching folk songs throughout the Nation of Australia in 2023. It all starts here at the Factory Theatre.

The Kildares (a band recently formed), take a mix of Indie and Surf Rock Genres and brings in the warm and seriously talented vocals of Indie Artist, Lachlan Wells. Lachlan has released his own work and now brings a new collection of works with a newly found band.

Chloe Kay & The Crusade is a Vocalist/Band that will bring soulful and power filled Blues tunes to you, after a successful return to the stage in 2022 after the Pandemic. Chloe Kays Vocals cannot be missed, and will lead into Matts set at 10pm. Her voice is filled with power and energy, that will take your soul, send it to the highest of heights and the deepest depths, finally returning to you warm and full, for an energy filled evening.
