Josh Hannan, Dear Tommie & Beckah Amani

Description

Sometimes you hear a voice that stops you in your tracks. One so classic and pure it can only be described as golden. A voice as skilled at portraying the gritty, raw emotion of heartbreak as it is the dizzying highs of a first kiss. Melbourne-born singer-songwriter Josh Hannan has such a voice. Josh will take the stage to showcase tracks from his forthcoming new EP, DEAD HEART. Performing most recently with Tom Grennan and with Calum Scott, Josh in the Metro Socials intimate setting is one not to me missed.

Tamworth born and bred artist Dear Tommie has always been something of an enigma amongst her peers. Unafraid to take risks, she pairs authentic farm girl grit, with all the sass and finesse of a bona fide city slicker.

Teaming lyrics that speak of heart felt yearnings and wonder with bombastic earworm beats, Dear Tommies’ unique sound will be sure to affect your every pore not by the least due to her vocal ability & intimate style.

She knows what it means to be country and if you don’t fall in love with her charm, you will with her songs.

Beckah Amani writes delicate, intimate yet genre dynamic songs that draw on deeply personal topics – heartbreak, identity, placelessness, — with warmth and grace, drawing strength from her sonorous voice. Her work always manages to offer both solace and motivation, offering salve to the wounds of the world.

This is a free Metro Artist in Residence (Metro A.i.R) event, but you have to RSVP.
