Murray Cook’s Soul Movers + The On & On’s

past event

Description

Featuring the much-loved legend, ex-Red Wiggle, Murray Cook, and led by long-Legged power-house, Lizzie Mack, The Soul Movers musical tour-de-force across a hip and funky retro musical spectrum, recreates the best sounds from the 1960s and 70s, making them one of the most exciting new live and festival acts on the touring circuit today.

This is music that is all about the soul – its passion, emotional nuance, heartbreak, celebration, hurt and love. ‘Bona Fide’ is the sound of a talented, experienced bunch of soul-music lovers making a record where the essence of this passion and feeling is coursing through their veins.

The band’s current line-up of incredible talent, who count themselves among the best in Australia, includes drummer Luke Herbert with Matthew Crawford on bass and Marko Simec on keys (Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers, Don Walker etc). Together they deliver a unified and electrifying live performance that impresses audiences and critics alike, wherever they play.

The On and Ons are thrilled to bring their brand of Rock/Power Pop to the Shire once  again at The Brass Monkey on Friday March 24th, supporting their good pals Murray Cook’s Soul Movers. Expect harmonies, melodies and tunes from the band’s four releases on Citadel Records to leave you with earworms for days! A good night for dancing!

The On and Ons are a power trio featuring Glenn Morris, guitar/lead vocals (former Screaming Tribesman), his brother Brian Morris (Zeros/Deltoids) on drums/vocals, plus Clyde Bramley (ex-Hoodoo Gurus) on bass/vocals.
