Operation Ibis record launch ‘Avian Overlords’ Special guests: Tantichrist + Whispering Jackie

Hailing from the dumpsters of Sydney’s Inner West, Operation Ibis have built a reputation for a high energy, frenzied and fun performance that get all folk on the dance floor.
With “DIY till we die” ethos they revel in playing live, especially the unconventional show..be it down an alleyway, in a dive bar or punks picnic. Honk Honk.

Tantichrist – Born out of the filth-ridden laneways and sticky-floored dive bars of inner western Sydney, TANTICHRIST play a high-octane flavour of hook-laden surf punk that’ll get your hips swinging and your ears ringing.
With twisted black humour and a wild, theatrical bent, TANTICHRIST roleplay all the villains and scumbags of our times against the backdrop of a chaotic and anthemic sonic maelstrom.

Whispering Jackie – burst out of the Sydney DIY scene in early 2016, playing music that’s honest and full of reckless abandon. Fronted by Sare Jackie the trio’s pronounced 90s sound is a mixture of punk, garage and grunge reminiscent of Magic Dirt, Sonic Youth and Hole. The band’s strong lyrical message and dynamic live performance have made them a favourite on the local Sydney punk-rock scene.
