Piper Rodrigues – Civic Bar Beats

Civic Bar Beats is a series of free Friday night music sessions with a relaxed summer night vibe.

Featuring a great line up of talented local musicians we’ll be throwing open the doors from 5pm and inviting guests to drop in, either before a Civic or Playhouse show, or just because they want to enjoy the music, food and happy hour from 5-6pm.

Despite being born into a family with roots in rock, blues, and jazz; Piper Rodrigues has begun to plant her own seeds in country music -being mentored and working with artists such as Catherine Britt, Melody Moko, Lyn Bowtell, Tori Forsyth, and Shane Nicholson. Piper is an artist who will take audiences on a journey through her meaningful lyrics, emotive voice, and unique storytelling style; and to compliment this ability, Piper formed her band ‘Piper Rodrigues and The Blind Black Hearts’ in 2020. She released her debut EP titled ‘Lost or Found?’ in January 2019 and plans to release more music in the near future.
