The Hovering Spooks play psychedelic rock and pop with cool grooves. The band members are well known luminaries from the Sydney scene who enjoy playing live. The spooks have been playing gigs around Sydney and are about to record a new album of original songs. Their setlist includes selected covers drawn primarily from Australia’s independent band scene.
Bruce “Cub” Callaway plays guitar and sings, Phil Hall plays bass and sings, Peter Timmerman plays drums and sings and Richard Burgman plays guitar and sings. Collectively the spooks pedigree consists of The Saints (x2), a Sunnyboy, a Lime Spider, a New Christ, a Widdershin, Flaming Hands (x2), John Kennedy’s various bands (x3), Flowers For Jayne (x2), The Shy Imposters, Dropbears etc. The list goes on and on!
