With debut album Black Thoughts released independently in 2020, during the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, Ziggy – full name Ziggy Ramo Burrmuruk Fatnowna – established himself as one of Australia’s most vital voices. This year, he’s followed that up with triple j feature album Sugar Coated Lies, melding his truth-telling and raw, personal lyrics with radio ready hooks.
