Filmmaker Neil Mansfield grew up in Sydney’s inner West. In his 20s he made experimental short films & music videos for alternative bands on video tape and Super-8 & 16mm film. In 1998 he wrote & directed his first feature film. FRESH AIR is a “zine-y”, cut & paste, rock’n’pop portrait of a three creative late-20 Gen-X-ers living in multicultural Marrickville. During the ‘2020 lock-down’, Mansfield added new music & images, and radically re-cut the film, which is now entitled STATIC ELECTRICITY.
